RCPC Weighs in on City of Oakland’s Objective Design Standards for 4-8 Story, Multifamily Residential Units

Objective Design Standards hold a promise to be a more efficient, predictable, and equitable path to obtaining and granting of planning approvals for a wide variety of development projects, especially those for affordable housing. The City of Oakland’s Planning Department accepted public comments on these standards through June 3, 2024. Comments from RCPC were sent to the Oakland Planning Department: (see letter below).
