9/26- Mosaic Tour @ Burlap Coffee (511 40th St) 11am-12pm- join for a 1 hour walking tour of Juan Lopez’s mosaic art located along Telegraph Avenue’s refuse containers- Free
10/3- Art Is Resilience & Open House @ Studio One Art Center (365 45th St) 12-6pm -Family art activities, kids play zone, artist speaker series, Art Demos, food vendors, raffle, music, and Art Show. FREE for all ages.
10/4- Creation Art Show @ Sacred Heart Church (4025 MLK Blvd) 12-4pm -Sacred Heart Church opens its doors for an art show called “Celebrating the Season of Creation”- FREE
10/4- Art & Vinyl Listening @ couchdate (5032 Teleg Ave) 4-7pm -Spiritual & African Jazz Vinyl Listening Party & Afro-Indo Art. The music will range from spiritual jazz such as Alice Coltrane to African Jazz- FREE
10/4- Drag show & Art @ Root’d in the 510 (4444 Teleg Ave) 6-9pm -“Spooky Show” Drag performance. Artwork on the walls and Art vendors. Cover fee is a sliding scale for the show- FREE to see the artwork.
10/6- Improv Night- Music & Poetry @ Temescal Art Center (511 48th St) 7-10pm -Come to improvise. Everyone is welcome as a participant or the audience. Invitation to musicians, poets, dancers. Bring your own instrument, poem, dancing shoes…etc. -FREE
10/6- Zentangle Drawing @ Temescal Library (5205 Teleg Ave) 5-7:30pm – lower level -Certified Zentangle Artist, Maryly Snow – will lead an easy to learn way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Drawing supplies provided- FREE
10/7- Collage Making @ Poems & Paper (4201 Teleg Ave) 6-8pm – 2nd Floor -TACo artists Christine, Davi and Tami will teach how to create colorful collages - you get to take yours home –FREE
10/7-10/9- Craft Night @ Drawling; All Ages Art and Supplies (484d 49th St Alley) 6-9pm This is a Drop-in craft night- Fee for supplies
10/8- Mixed Media Craft @ East Bay Depot….(4695 Teleg Ave) 4- 7pm -Enjoy an ecological treasure trove of art and craft materials, educational supplies, home décor, paper goods and fabric. Demonstrations and hands-on activities- FREE
10/8- AJAYU Andean Music & Art @ Tailor It! (4691 Teleg Ave) 6-8pm -Gabriel Escobar, owner of Tailor It!, and his band, AJAYUZ play Andean Bolivian music - 6pm-8pm featuring artist Woody Johnson- FREE
10/8- Meet Board Game Illustrators @ It’s Your Move (4290 Teleg Ave B) 7-10pm -Explore the amazing art of games and puzzles. Join several game creators to learn about their craft. Tea and cookies will be provided- FREE
10/9- Textile Painting & Art Show @ MacArthur Commons (540 40th St) 4-8pm -Interactive Textile Painting and collage making. Spray paint on with stencils clothes. All materials are provided- (you’re encouraged to bring your own clothes)- FREE
10/10- Art Installation & Live Jazz @ East Bay Church (4031 Teleg Ave) 4:30-7:30pm -Art show: “Maps, Memories, and Movement”, light snacks and live jazz at East Bay Church of Religious Science. Come to see several art installations- FREE
