Rockridge Community Planning Council Needs Board Members Like You

Wednesday, January 8, 2020

Have an idea for enhancing Rockridge? Looking for a way to use your talents and experience in service to our community? Then running for a seat on the Rockridge Community Planning Council (RCPC) just might be right for you. Serving as board member is an excellent way to work on consequential issues relating to transportation, communications, parks, land use, and community-based grant projects.

To quote the RCPC bylaws, the purpose of RCPC is to “preserve and enhance the unique character of the Rockridge neighborhood; promote the health, safety, and quality of life of its residents; furnish a forum for community involvement; and provide leadership and representation for community interests.”

Board members are elected “at-large” so each represents all residents within RCPC’s boundaries. The 2020 election of board members will be held at the April 16, 2020, Town Hall. Six seats are up for election. To qualify, a candidate must be 18 years or older and live within RCPC boundaries.

To be considered as a candidate, email no later than close of business Wednesday, February 26. For further information, contact
