FROG Park, DMV Creekside: Restoration Update
Monday, June 10, 2013

We are pleased to announce the DMV Creekside Restoration continues with the second phase of the plan nearing completion: the delivery and installation of 10 creekside boulders.

The city's Public Works Agency selected and purchased specified boulders and, along with landscaper MIG and community representatives, marked the location where the boulders were to be placed. The second part of the restoration plan, now nearing completion, is installation of the boulders. The first phase of the DMV restoration was the planting of the DMV parking lot trees last year. The trees continue to do well, largely due to local community volunteers who watered the trees during last summer. We may need additional help this summer: please e-mail Leonora Sea at if you can help.

The next time you walk along the greenbelt, shop at the Farmers market, or visit the DMV, take a look at the new boulders, where you may envision the final restoration phases, which include planting about 13 new trees along the DMV Creekside and installing one new picnic table.
