Peralta in Bloom Spring Festival

Event Time:
Saturday, May 17, 2014 - 12:00pm - 4:00pm
Peralta Elementary School,

Peralta in Bloom, the school’s spring festival fund-raiser, is an event open to the entire community, and anticipated by all kids.

The celebration runs from noon to 4 p.m., and includes fun for kids and the entire family: a barbecue with vegetarian options; live music; a two-hour cakewalk based on musical chairs; a climbing wall; art booths; 10 carnival games. Also, free events range from face-painting to balloon twisting to flower-pot painting. The event ends with an annual Quilt Raffle, featuring a lovely quilt designed by resident artist and quilt-maker Ellen Oppenheimer, and made by kids.

These traditions are organized by parent teams. Each year, we add new events to celebrate spring in a new way. The fair is free to enter, and the event is all about providing a fantastic day for the kids after the mandated testing period has ended.

Our spring festival helps support the school’s art projects, and is also a great way to introduce the community to the school.
