Frog Park: Thankful for Cactus Taqueria's Generous Swings Donation

Sunday, November 9, 2014

It's the season of thanks, and this year we want to thank the individuals, businesses and foundations that have helped us raise more than $35,000 ($950 of it at our Rockridge Out and About booth alone) for toddler swings and new play features at Rockridge's own Frog Park.

Our goal is to raise the final $15,000 this year; as we approach the season of giving, please consider giving back to the park that has given so much to our families and our community. Donate at

We had another successful maintenance day for Frog Park in September, but it takes loads of volunteer hours all year to keep the park and play structures clean and safe.

Progress Report: Frog Park Swings Funding

Thursday, July 10, 2014

Since we first announced plans to move ahead with new swings and play features at Frog Park last December, we have raised approximately $22,000. We are well on our way to the $50,000 goal.

Volunteers will be out in the park several weekends this summer to answer questions, take donations and show you revised layouts where the new structures (toddler and regular swings, ADA swing, pole spinners, see-saw, merry-go-round climber) will be located.

New Swings and Play Features at Frog Park? You Can Help Make It So

Thursday, January 9, 2014

The Rockridge-Temescal Greenbelt was created in 2001 after years of community effort. Under the auspices of Friends of the Rockridge-Temescal Greenbelt (FROG), more than 1,300 volunteers from the Rockridge-Temescal neighborhood planned and physically built the structures.

What was once fenced-off undeveloped land covered by wild vegetation has become our beloved Frog Park.
