Free CPR Training

The Oakland Police Department’s Neighborhood Services Division is offering a free community Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) class in August:

Anyone 12 years old and older may take the class. Participants completing the class receive a certificate of their training that is good for two years.

Saturday, August 24: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. 81st Avenue Library, 1021 81st Avenue

Pre-registration for the course is required, space is limited.

Oakland Planning Commission Design Review Committee Public Hearing on draft “Guidelines for Commercial Areas and Corridors.”

In conjunction with a Technical Advisory Group consisting of local design experts, City staff has developed a draft version of “Guidelines for Commercial Areas and Corridors.”  The proposed guidelines expand on the new Zoning Regulations by providing design direction that descriptively and graphically expresses the City’s expectations for new development on the commercial corridors.
