Consider, discuss and make recommendations to the Board of Directors on land use projects and issues in Rockridge.

Agenda will include update on ongoing Rockridge construction projects and progress report on potential rezoning study for College Avenue.  Please check back a week ahead for more detaied agenda.

All Rockridge residents are welcome to attend.

RCPC Town Hall: Hey, What's Shakin'? Earthquake and Disaster Preparedness

No one can say when or where the next earthquake or other disaster will strike, but everyone CAN be prepared. The RCPC November Town Hall presents resources for that preparation;

Jeff Morelli of CORE Oakland will give a brief overview of the CORE Training program with
handouts for further information.

Rockridge resident Carol Strickman, former CORE teacher and trainer, will speak on her experience as a neighborhood organizer and discuss the CORE I, II and III training levels.

National Night Out

National Night Out is the sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. Residents are encouraged to join with their neighbors in an outdoor event to build neighborhood spirit and unity, the first defense against crime.

Bike-to-Work Day is held annually statewide to encourage bicycling as a non-polluting and healthy commute option.

In Oakland, Bike-to-Work Day is part of the city's strategy to promote cycling as affordable transportation, to improve public health, and to stop global warming. By cycling, you can: Reduce air pollution; stay healthy and fit; save money; and ease street congestion.

Ride for a Reason

Ride for a Reason, now in its sixth year, is a two-wheeled protest to advocate for more state funding for public schools, and a fundraiser for programs that support student creativity and a nurturing environment in six Oakland schools.

Our goals this year are 250 riders in Sacramento and $120,000 raised for six Oakland schools: Claremont Middle School; Edna Brewer; Emerson Elementary; Oakland International High; Oakland Technical High; and Westlake Middle School.

Once again, the Rockridge Masonic Lodge, Claremont Dads Club and Rockridge District Association (RDA) invite you to join us Saturday, April 26, at the historic Rockridge Masonic Hall for the 5th Annual Pancake Breakfast.

A hearty breakfast, including pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit, coffee and tea, is generously donated and prepared by members of the Masonic Lodge. Four seatings are offered: 8 a.m., 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
