Release of Rockridge Shopping Center Environmental Report Further Delayed

Trouble with the traffic??

Safeway's ground floor plan for redeveloped RSCThis project is also being proposed by Safeway, but a different division than the one doing the College Avenue shopping center.  It would rebuild the entire shopping center and add about 120,000 sq. ft. of developed space.  Release of the draft Environmental impact report for the project has again been delayed, probably at least until the end of October.  Rumor has it that the traffic analysis (being done by the same firm who did the traffic section on the College Avenue Safeway DEIR) has some problems.  Check the RCPC website at http://rockridge.org for the latest update, or sign up for our e-newslatter for more immediate notification.  the Oakland planner assigned to the case is Daren Ranelletti (238-3663, DRanelletti@oaklandnet.com ).
