RCPC Annual Meeting and April Town Hall

The April RCPC Town Hall Meeting doubles as RCPC's annual meeting and election of Board of Directors members.  This year, there are five candidates running for six seats on the Board.  At the meeting, each candidate will give a short statement about themself and why they are running, followed by questions from the audience. 

March RCPC Town Hall - BART bikeshare Station and More

The City of Oakland Department of Transportation (OakDOT), BART, and Motivate will present the results of the public feedback received about alternative locations for the Ford GoBike bikeshare station at the Rockridge BART station on College Ave.  There was an initiial discussion at the January Town Hall meeting and a follow-up walk-through of alternative locations on February 22nd to gather public input.  The City will report on the results of that input and the proposed plans for moving forward with a permanent location for this central bikeshare location in Rockridge.

Join RCPC this Thursday, April 20th, for RCPC's Annual Meeting, election of board members, and an important Town Hall on developing an RCPC housing policy.  All of Oakland is under pressure to add more housing to respond to the critical housing shortage in the region.  RCPC will present background information and alternative scenarios of how Rockridge could respond.  A panel, including housing experts and City Council Member Dan Kalb, will discuss their views on how Rockridge should proceed, and the audience is invited to provide questions and comments.

October Town Hall: LWVO presents ballot measures review

Special Town Hall: How Secondary Unit and Off- Street Parking Revisions Could Impact Rockridge

RCPC hosts a Special Town Hall on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 9, 7 pm, featuring Councilmember Dan Kalb; an Oakland Planning Department staffer for secondary units; Oakland Strategic Planning staffer Neil Gray; and a representative from the Mayor's office.

Revisions to Oakland's Secondary Dwelling Unit Regulations will receive a first hearing by the City Council on January 5, with final ordinance passage likely later during the month. The Off-Street Parking revisions will be discussed at the Zoning Update Committee in January.
