June 6, 2009 Get Caught in Rockridge's Communication Web

Talking about Rockridge is pretty easy. Talking with Rockridge and its 10,000 residents is a lot trickier. There are lots of great voices in our community from which we can learn about the huge Safeway remodel, an event at a local school, a volunteer day at one of our parks, or how to create a beautiful garden; an important part of Rockridge is sharing ideas, experiences and stories.

The Rockridge Community Planning Council (RCPC) has created a Communi-cations Committee to improve how these voices are heard. The committee hopes to find new and creative ways to use The Rockridge News, the Rockridge.org Web site, and RCPC e-mail notifications to keep Rockridge residents informed, entertained, and involved in keeping Rockridge a great place to live.

The committee has so many ways to talk with Rockridge that it needs some help. Do you like writing interesting articles about Rockridge? Are you interested in using your computer science skills to help improve the Web site? Are you familiar with common practices for reaching out to communities? Are you knowledgeable about graphic design? Would you just like to help out?

There are many important things to accomplish; you are sure to find a way to help.Find out more about working with the RCPC Communications Committee. E-mail communication@rockridge.org. Have fun, give back to Rockridge, and create something to share with friends.
